A social worker communicates with people based on mature personality and willingness to love and serve them. The Department of Social Welfare of KIWU trains professionals in social work that goes through the transformation and development of people by complementing and enforcing social functions as well as designing and operating diverse care programs and services with which clients can fulfill their welfare needs while encouraging people in need to be braver and more active in life and joining a group for rapport.

Career after
graduation

Graduates can work at social welfare facilities or even at the social contribution team of a private company. Many graduates are also working in the National Pension Service, National Health Insurance Service, Employment Insurance Service, Korea Workers’ Compensation & Welfare Service, Probation Office of the Ministry of Justice, school as social work consultant, and social work as public official.

Level 2 Social Worker (National Certificate from the Ministry of Health and Welfare), Family Health Supporter (National Certificate from the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family), Level 1 Recreation Service Staff, Level 1 Senior Sports Instructor (for applicants), Level 1 Youth Sports Instructor (for applicants)
